Cemetery - Kosciusko County

Picture
WIPRS 2009

Koscusko County, IN

The cemetery is one of the oldest in the county. Set upon a mound and accessible by a barely noticeable county road, it sits relatively undisturbed save for the care it receives from the township.

We were alerted to possible activity by one of the county judges who frequented the office where my sister works. He liked to hear of our stories and escapades of pursuing the paranormal. We contacted the township trustee and gained permission be there through nightfall.

We arrived before dusk to set up two static cameras crossing the small cemetery diagonally from the oldest section facing towards the entrance. My choice of camera at the time was the SONY TRV280 with Night Shot that recorded to cassette. There were five of us present - my sister and I, my youngest son and two of his friends.

It was a new moon night - dark and clear and crisp. As the video clip begins you will see the IR light from a handheld camera to the left of the screen. One of the boys had heard something and was checking the perimeter behind the camera. Another one of the boys was to the right of the camera behind a small copse of trees taking pictures around a small family plot. You will notice some residual flash from his camera. The rest of us are on the other side of the cemetery.

The crunch of the fallen leaves is clearly heard as my son's friend enters the viewing area. The stark comparison in size of his form to the form we just watched cross from that same area is blatantly obvious!

We returned the next day after discovering the footage. We re-created the camera setting. It was twenty-three feet to the headstone where the form hesitated. The headstone itself measured twenty-seven inches high.

The stone was for a two-year old child.

What Our Clients Are Saying

"We are often asked about how to get started in ghost hunting. Actually we have a very unique opportunity available here locally. WIPRS paranormal in conjunction with the Kosciusko County Historical Society offers two different programs at the Old Jail Museum in downtown Warsaw. One is a Ghost Hunting 101 class. This is perfect for beginners. They offer expert instruction from experienced investigators and they then lead you on an investigation of the old jail, Probably the most haunted loction in Warsaw. All equiptment is provided. They also make the jail available for experienced groups to conduct their own investigations. Both of these programs are very reasonably priced and the good news is that all money brought in benefits the historical society and aids in preserving the old jail. You can contact WIPRS at 574-376-0330 or contact the Kosciusko County Historical Museum to schedule your own ghost adventure today!" - THE SPIRITS OF WARSAW GHOST TOURS
